Cookie policy

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies are used to remember choices you have made (such as your age confirmation), to keep the site working as expected, and, with your consent, to help us understand how the site is used. Traffinaty also uses analogous browser storage (such as localStorage) for the same purposes.

2. Categories we use

2.1 Essential (always on)

These are required for the site to function. We do not ask consent for them because the site cannot operate as you have requested without them.

  • age_ok — records that you have confirmed you are aged 18 or over, so the age-gate is not shown on every page. Stored in localStorage. Expires when you clear browser storage.
  • cookies_consent — records your choice in the cookie banner (accepted or rejected). Stored in localStorage. Expires after 12 months.

2.2 Optional analytics (consent required)

These are loaded only if you select Accept in the cookie banner. They help us understand which reviews are read and which links are followed, in aggregate. They are not used to identify you personally and we do not combine them with any other personal data.

If we have not yet enabled an analytics provider, this category exists in policy form so that your consent choice is honoured when one is added.

2.3 Third-party cookies on outbound links

When you click through to an operator's site (for example Kwiff, 888 Casino, JackpotStar, SlotsMagic or PlaceBet), that operator's own cookies will be set on the operator's domain. We have no control over those cookies and they are governed by the operator's own privacy and cookie policies.

3. Managing your consent

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for traffinaty.com, the cookie banner will then re-appear and you can make a fresh choice. You can also disable cookies entirely in your browser settings, but parts of the site (such as the age-gate not reappearing on every page load) will not behave as expected.

4. The Reject button

Selecting Reject in the cookie banner records your choice in the essential cookies_consent storage key and prevents any optional cookies from being loaded. There is no penalty for rejecting; all editorial content remains available.

5. Complaints

The UK supervisory authority for cookies and electronic communications is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). You may complain there if you believe this site has not honoured your cookie choices.
